Description
This is very simple (and quite subtle) enhancement for the majority of the footstep SFX (which includes the jump but at a higher volume).

Thoughout HL2 I was bugged by the low quality of the SFX for the footsteps. For some reason some of the sounds have a high-pitched frequency (around 13kHz) running through them which I found quite noticable and pretty annoying, especially when jumping and in quiet areas. I've removed it aswell as any noise that was present (some of them were really bad).

I've included an example of an original sound versus the enhanced one.

NB. I searched for anybody that had noticed the same thing as me but couldn't find a single example. It's possible that older gamers (ie. anywhere over 30) may not be able to hear the high frequencies due to age related hearing loss (see presbycusis) and it may be why this slipped past the developers.
