Dathomir: Beachhead, by Corporal_Catastrophe, is a good example of what an early beta should look like.

The map itself is pretty small - which is never a bad thing, I've seen many maps far too large for their own good. The size fits well. It's a straightforward linear battle - for the most part, the command posts are in a single line. There are two command posts on either side of a small river/stream. The props chosen fit well, and while my personal preference would be to change the default terrain texture and sky (especially if Dathomir is the desired setting), the terrain textures as is do not look bad.

That said, there is definitely still some work to be done. There's an uncaptureable CP floating under one of the other CPs - it needs to be deleted. There are a number of areas in which the terrain could be smoothed out. One of the actual CPs is floating aboveground. Some of the objects are not fully grounded (to the author - I'm thinking specifically of one of the bunkers by Wideboy that's on the hill with the Yavin objects). AI pathing could use a little work, and one of the spawnpoints near the "temple" CP is in an area that traps the AI.

This is a pretty decent map. It's nice and simple and with a little work could look really nice.
