Description This map, by Vonfrank, is a recreation of the "Helms Deep" fortress (as you might imagine from the title) as it was depicted in the "Lord of the Rings" movies. Not being of intimate knowledge of the architecture in "The Two Towers," I can't personally verify its accuracy, although it certainly looks close.
The author seems to have done a nice job using mostly Rhen Var props/legos to recreate a keep fairly reminiscent of Helms Deep. While certainly not on the same scale - and of course without the detail to the interior - it seems like a fairly nice map. It will be interesting, no doubt, to see how the AI manages to tackle weaving in and out of the pathways in this fortress.
