Description "The city of Salerno was the site of the main Allied landings in Italy. The
invasion plan was badly flawed, and heavy casualties were sustained
by the US 5th Army both in the initial attack and in the following
counterattack, but the town was held."

it is small for a 4 player map. The majority of the map's resources are
located in the town, along with 2 out of 3 victory points, to make the
town itself the objective, as in real life. It represents the Axis
counterattack on Salerno.
