Description Introduction
Windows installer for The Dark Mod, a Doom 3 total conversion.
The Dark Mod turns Doom 3 into a stealth game heavily inspired (but not the same as) the well-known Thief series. Sneak past your enemies, stay in the shadows, avoid fights, shot water arrows to douse torches, use rope arrows to climb, lockpick doors to gain entrance, grab the valuables and safely make your exit again!
Installation
Install Doom 3, patch it to the latest version, then extract the tdm_updater.exe file into "C:Doom3" (or where you installed Doom 3), then run it.
The tdm_updater.exe will download all the necessary files for The Dark Mod, as well as keep your installation up-to-date. The download size is around 1.5 Gbytes.

The mod itself includes all the code and art assets as well as one training mission. Individual fan missions (FMs for short) can be downloaded as well, there are over 10 of them already:
