Description
"WW1 Snow Trench Battle" is supposed to be a battle that apes trench warfare circa 1915.

I will assume that the author chose to make this a snowy battlefield is due to the only stock trench props being from Hoth, and consequently snowy-textured. There is a certain amount of irony in this choice, in that the author did not include the Hoth snow texture. The trench props are consequently textureless in the map, and if your computer renders no textures like mine (i.e. black instead of white), then it will be a sharp contrast with the white snow indeed. In addition to the missing texture, the trench props weren't flush with the ground, and as a result, their terraincutters make it possible to see below the terrain.

As for its achievement of its goal - to mimic WW1 trench warfare, it could have taken a few more steps, even if made by a neophyte modder. Some additional props would have been good - other than the trench props, it was just terrain. Let's see some wire or some obstacles or stakes or something. Some AI pathing would have been nice, if for no other reason than good practice - but it would also help to make sure that the AI actually walked down in the trenches.

At this point I would normally refer you to the screenshots for your own evaluation, but as the screenshots server is down I will simply recommend that you download if it sounds appealing.
