Sai Saber

Here we have an interesting weapon mod, one that gives you Sai style hilts. For anyone who doesn't know what Sai are (which included me until I looked on the all knowing Wikipedia) check out [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sai_(weapon)]this Wikipedia article[/url] for more info. I remember seeing weapons like these in the Mummy Returns and I also believe they featured in the film "Elektra".

They are basically short, thin swords with a fancy curved hilt. The modelling job here is pretty good and the weapons look just like the real thing. However I do think there could be a little more work on the texturing, since they seem a little flat and too white at the moment. Perhaps more of a bronze colour would look better, with a bit more textural detail. One other thing is that the saber blade appears around the blade of the sword. I'm not entirely sure whether this was intentional, but it does detract a little from the realism of the weapons.

That’s only a small issue though, since they look cool with the saber blades there anyway, kind of like magic glowing Sai or something!

Overall a cool weapon mod here, which definitely looks better when used in dual wield mode rather than single mode. Keep up the good work mate, I look forward to seeing more mod's from you! :)
