Description
in Episode 6, when the secretive little agent is in Jabba's palace, everyone is so worried because he has a Thermal Detonator. What's so threatening about a little orange glow about 1 meter in diameter?
Thermal detonators are bombs. That thermal detonator would have removed Jabba's Palace from the face of Tatooine. Obviously, of course, to put something that powerful in Jedi Academy would not only be unbalancing, but would be kind of useless since you'd probably blow yourself up. This mod brings the true nature of the thermal detonator to a healthy medium: huge explosion, little damage. Well, normal damage as we've all already seen in Jedi Academy.

I find it's a little broken, though. You'll see from the screenshots that there seem to be some particle effects, yet something's gone wrong with them so they show up as the XYZ thing. This kind of makes a cool explosion look kind of... meh. I even cleaned out my base folder to see if it was a conflict -- no such luck. I also found the sounds to be kind of lacking. The explosion sound didn't seem to reflect the actual visual explosion -- it sounded more like a big fire to be honest than a big explosion.

Anyway, despite the problems it's still quite a cool explosion. I only took top-down screenshots, but one really has to see it from the side to appreciate its neatness, so give it a try while we wait for a fix!
