This patch can be applied to any previous Battlefront.com English Language version of the game. Patches for other versions will be released separately. This patch is NOT for the Weapons and Warfare or PDE Expansions.WORLD WAR! For the first time, Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg now contains an epic sized, World War 2 campaign featuring not just the European Theatre but the whole of Asia Pacific, complete North and South American continents, all of Africa and a greatly expanded Eastern Europe and Indian sub-continent! As part of this v1.09 update to the game, we are including this awesome 1939-46 WW2 Global Conflict Campaign, designed by David Stoeckl (and modified by Hubert Cater) completely for free. Play Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg like never before, on a truly global scale. This new Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg campaign covers World War 2 from a complete global perspective. Choose to play for world domination as the Axis or select the Allies in a desperate effort to contain Axis expansion and aggression. The 1939-46 WW2 Global Conflict Campaign gives you complete control of over 40 different countries including Japan, Italy and Germany on the Axis side and the UK, US and USSR for the Allies.This new mega-campaign features over 30 different weather zones including the Indian Subcontinent and the Java Sea as well as detailed Orders of Battle for all countries including China, Thailand, and the East and West Commonwealth including Australia and New Zealand.The campaign offers ultimate flexibility including the opportunity for Japan to sneak attack the US Navy at Pearl Harbor or even to rewrite the Imperial Japanese Navy debacle at Midway. Invade China, Australia, even the Western United States! While originally envisioned for multiplayer battles, this new Global Conflict campaign can be played in either solo or multiplayer modes. This new campaign is only for Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and does not require the newly released Weapons and Warfare Expansion to play!SAVE GAME COMPATIBILITY NOTICEStrategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg v1.09 is NOT compatible with older save games from ANY previous version of the game. If you wish to play multiplayer with someone else, make sure that they have upgraded their game to version 1.09.NOTE ABOUT CUSTOM CAMPAIGNS AND GAME MODSPrior to installing this patch over your current files, use the Export Data feature to save all of your existing data for a custom campaign(s). We suggest you also zip up all of your custom files just in case so you can go back to them if necessary and rename your custom campaign as campaign_old. You should also rename your templates directory to templates_old so you can check for changes.Once you've followed the steps above apply the patch and then do the following:1) Open a new campaign using File->New2) Set the new campaign map size to match the map size of your previous pre patch campaign.3) Select File->Import and select the folder for the campaign in which you would like to import data files from. If you do not have the correct map size the Editor will inform you and you can then repeat step 2)4) At this point, select Save and select the name of the older campaign you wish to update. This assumes you still have the original 'Campaigns' folder intact with the pre patch campaigns and subfolders. For example, let's say you had a file called '1939 Fall Weiss Custom'. Simply select this file when you are going to save.WARNING: It will ask you if you would like to overwrite the scripts. Make sure you click "NO".NOTE: If you click "YES" it will overwrite the existing scripts with the Template scripts.
